ST 2110 to MPEG-TS, and back again

For a facility that has moved to ST 2110 and needs the compressed side of the house fed, and a way back onto the fabric.

ST 2110 Encoder, 1 RU rear panel with four 25GbE SFP28 ports
16 × 1080pchannels per 1 RU
4 × 25GbESFP28

What you get.

ST 2110-20 and -30 in

Uncompressed video and PCM 24-bit / 48 kHz audio, 23.976 to 60 fps, up to 1920 × 1080.

Timing off the network

Hardware PTP (IEEE 1588) on the 25GbE network card.

Seamless protection

ST 2022-7 on both the encoder and the decoder, with automatic failover.

H.264 or HEVC out

Hardware encode to MPEG-TS over UDP, unicast or multicast, with AAC-LC, Opus or MP2 at 1 to 16 channels per stream.

Back onto the fabric

The ST 2110 Decoder turns H.264, HEVC or MPEG-2 MPEG-TS into ST 2110-20 4:2:2 10-bit and ST 2110-30 audio.

Playout from file

The decoder also plays files, single pass or seamless loop, straight onto ST 2110.

Where it fits.

Feeding distribution

Compressed copies of the plant for operators and IPTV.

Playout

File or stream back onto the ST 2110 fabric.

Monitoring

Compressed feeds for multiviewers and remote eyes.

Disaster recovery

A compressed path out and a way back in.

Try it on your own signals.

Remote access to a running unit first, then a unit on site for a couple of weeks, with a written report you keep either way.
